Capital&Centric, the Manchester-based developer responsible for the regeneration of the Weir Mill site in Stockport, has invited developers to pitch ideas for the site’s newest space, West Shed.

Described as over 5,000 square foot of Grade-II listed space, West Shed sits below the site’s mixed-use flat blocks by Stockport Viaduct.

The company appears keen to attract independent developers to the site, suggesting that bars, restaurants, or other businesses are welcome to pitch.

So far, businesses that have joined the recently-reopened site include Prologue, an independent bookshop, cafe, and bar combo, Bodega, a natural wine bar, and Rita Rays’, the “North’s first women’s-led sports bar”.

One-bed flats in the repurposed Weir Mill start at £1,250 per month, while two beds start at £1,600 per month.

Apartments in the new-builds are slightly cheaper, starting at £1,100 per month for a 1-bed, or £1,400 for a 2-bed.

Prospective developers of West Shed are invited to email ‘spaces@capitalandcentric.com’ with their ideas.
